This wonderful vision is directly from my friend, Susan Norman…

He is coming. He is. And what will those who are still alive on earth witness? I think I have a pretty good idea, and it might not be what you expect.

The miracle of Michael didn’t stop on Christmas Night 1995. For months, I would pray a silent prayer, or just think a silent thought, or just privately worry… and the phone would ring, and it would be Michael calling from his group home with a personal, Spirit-breathed answer to what was troubling me.

One time when Michael and I were talking, he said to me kind of out of the blue, “Susi, you should work with the handicapped.”

I just muttered, “OK, Michael. We’ll see.”

And over the next months and years, he kept saying it.

“Susi, you should work with the handicapped.”

So as it turned out some years later, I began working in public relations for a Georgia facility that was completely filled with Michaels. Some couldn’t speak a word. Some couldn’t walk. Or feed themselves. But they exuded a purity of love that those of us with “the knowledge of good and evil” can only dream about.

One fella wore a helmet and would sit in the foyer of the building making loud noises. It was while looking at him one day that I suddenly “saw” what will happen when Christ comes again to put a stop to mankind at its worst.

That day, I was just standing in the foyer looking out the plate-glass windows and doors, when my friend with the helmet yelled loud enough to cause me to turn and look at him.

I kept my gaze on him, thinking, “Most people would see absolutely no value in the life of this young man….”

And then a series of images began flashing in rapid, almost instantaneous, succession in my mind. I soon realized that I was “seeing” the Second Coming of Christ. Here is what I saw:

The veil that invisibly separates this world from the Kingdom of God disappeared in the twinkling of an eye.

Time stopped. There was no time to draw even a breath, much less to “get right with God.”

Life as we had known it on earth was over.

The sky rolled back from the center to each side, parting like a giant scroll.

In full view of everyone on earth was Jesus Christ in all of His power and majesty. With Him were mighty angelic beings.

Our physical bodies just disappeared.

What became visible was the inner man in each of us.

We could see instantly what the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit have seen all along. Evident to them and now to ourselves and to everyone else was how much we had grown spiritually — or not grown — during our lifetimes.

Out of the men, women and children who had been physically or mentally handicapped in this life emerged magnificent spirits filled with God’s Light. They were powerful, beautiful, completely whole.

And out of the so-called “beautiful people” — those with natural beauty, power, intelligence and riches but no spiritual life in Christ — came spirits that were underdeveloped almost like aborted fetuses… dark… deformed… and, well, handicapped.

When the formerly great saw who they really were, and would be forever and ever, and realized that everyone could see them as they now were, they were ashamed.

They utterly despised themselves.

Looking in desperation for places to hide, some slipped into lightless caves, others through crevices in rocks, some even under the rocks.

But they could not hide from the One whose eyes have always been on the part of us that will live forever.

As the vision ended, one Bible verse came to mind:

“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.”
