“I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living.  Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!”   Psalm 7:13-4

That’s what the Holy Spirit softly spoke to me.  But I’m quick to say, “It’s so hard to lose my focus on You, Lord… when every single time I move, I’m confronted with this unmerciful muscle disease.”  Wait on Me.  Keep waiting on Me.  I will give you strength, are the words He put emphasis on.

Waiting… Patience… Times of discouragement… What could I possibly say about discouragement that you haven’t heard before?  It happens to all of us.  It happened to all of the Heroes of Faith in the Bible.  It happens to those who love God with all their heart.  Discouragement can’t be fought in our natural strength.  Victory over discouragement can only come from the Spirit of God.  As I type this, I’m thinking of the lyrics to THE DESERT SONG…

All of my life

in every season

You are still God

I have a reason to sing

I have a reason to worship

Hi, I’m back.  I stopped writing a few hours ago, but wanted to come back and tell you what the Lord just spoke to my heart.  He told me to remember a certain story I posted maybe a year or two ago.  It was about majestic trees that were cut down and mercilessly stripped of their branches… In the reign of King Solomon, the Bible speaks of the majestic Cedar trees in Lebanon; cedar trees that were the pride of the forest. If just for a minute we can imagine what those trees, the kings of the forest, would have looked like… They were strong and withstood many storms, which made their roots sink deeper and deeper into the earth. These mighty trees were home to many birds, as they would build their nests in its branches. The tree provided shade from the midday heat and offered shelter from raging storms (Here is the post if you wish to read it, Your Latter Will Be Greater)

Anyway, this is the message spoken to me loud and clear… God has an amazing goal and purpose to everything, and I mean E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G that comes into our lives.  Do you trust that?  It doesn’t matter how unfair and unjust something is, even if it has come directly from Satan, by the time it reaches us it’s God’s will for us and will ultimately work for our good.  All the attacks thrown at us from Satan – and from others, are not only powerless to harm us but are transformed into blessings in due time.

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”  Romans 8:28
