“So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now. This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun.” 2 Corinthians 5: 16-17

Christians are brand new people on the inside. The Holy Spirit gives a new life, and we are not the same anymore. We are not reformed, rehabilitated, or reeducated – we are recreated , living in vital union with Christ. At conversion we do not merely turn over a new leaf, we begin a new life under a new Master.

Not only are believers changed from within, but a whole new order of creative energy began with Christ. This is not a superficial change that will be quickly be superseded by another novelty. This is entirely a new order of all creation under Christ’s authority. It requires a new way of looking at people and all of creation.

Perhaps you’re reading this and thinking, “This Jesus stuff sounds good, but I don’t really know if it’s for me,” or maybe you don’t understand, or even don’t believe. But it sounds right, and something keeps bringing you back here to read more. Trust that feeling and take a leap, give into what you feel. Remember Jesus’ words…”If you’re open to me and my teaching, I’ll give you more understanding.”

All you need is a sincere heart. Listen to what God is saying to you through the prophet Jeremiah…
“For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me with all of your heart, you will find me. I will be found by you.” Jeremiah 29: 11-13

Here is a fact: You were created by a loving God. You have great value. God loves you and wants to have a personal relationship with you.

If you’re ready, you can express belief and trust in Christ through prayer. Prayer is simply talking to God. Use your own words…God knows what you mean even when it’s difficult to say. He’s more concerned with what you’re heart is saying. Say something like this…

Dear God, I know that my sin has separated us. But you sent your Son, Jesus to die in my place. I believe you raised Him from the dead. Forgive my sin, come into my life and change me. Thank you for giving me eternal life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Welcome to the family of God, my brother or sister!
