There’s a story told of a man who was very poor. One day, a terrible flood came through his town, destroying the man’s home and everything else he owned in the world.
This left the man totally devastated, brokenhearted, and ready to give up on life. Yet after the water subsided, with the help of the sun, he saw something shining in the riverbanks that the flood had washed bare. “It looks like gold,” he said. And it was gold.
The storm that left him destitute and bankrupt made him rich… And so it is oftentimes with life – “with the help of the Son!”
