Some Thoughts

“You can never learn that Christ is all you need, until Christ is all you have.”~Corrie ten Boom.
How this resonates with me in my every waking moment.  It wasn’t until suffering plopped itself down in the middle of my living room and set up camp for the long haul, that I am able to truly grasp this reality that Corrie ten Boom speaks of.

While being force-fed to eat things I didn’t want, while wanting things I didn’t have (or don’t have) left me with the choice to either hate God or cling to Him for dear life. Amazing stuff, just meditate on this…

“Though the Lord gave you adversity for food and suffering for drink, He will still be with you to teach you. You will see your teacher with your own eyes.” Isaiah 30:20

I’m enrolled in Holy Ghost University.  Many of you are enrolled in Holy Ghost University also. We’ve been taken out of the “world’s” churches and systems and are being personally trained and taught by Him for such a time as this.  We’re being taught His way. These words in the Bible speak of this…

“And He has made my mouth like a sharp sword; In the shadow of His hand He has hidden me, and made me a polished shaft; In His quiver He has hidden me.” Isaiah 49:2

Everything you have been through – every bit of the good, bad, and ugly has made you the mighty warrior you are today. You may say “me, a mighty warrior?” Yes, beloved, YOU! I also have questioned God about being a woman of valor, and honestly told Him that I sometimes feel as weak and powerless as Gideon first felt – that is, before God came in with the power that enabled Gideon to defeat and win victory over Israel’s enemies. You and I can truly do all things through Christ who strengthens us. He will win the victory over whatever you’re up against.

So getting back to that scripture… He matured you/or is maturing you with His refining fire, and has hidden you. When it’s the perfect time – His perfect time, He will reach for you out of His quiver and shoot you as an arrow to where He wants you to be. This end-time harvest is ripe and how excited and expectant I am to see what God will do next!

Let’s talk about God’s rest. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.  Loving the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind is the most vital thing you can ever do. Love is the first and great thing that God demands from us, and we must love him in the most intense degree and love him more than anything else.  Check out this excerpt from a post I’ve written titled The Fight is So, So Worth It!

We are impatient people. If we don’t get what we want-when we want it, we sometimes tend to fight against whatever it is that God Himself has placed in our life, something He has planned in order to spiritually mature us. Impatience will come along and say, “You have to get out and do something! To continue waiting on God is time wasted. Arrogance will then come on the scene and boast, “God doesn’t want you sick (or whatever your trial may be). Just rebuke it. Walk in your authority in Christ. Claim it – keep proclaiming it’s yours!” Feelings of despair, self-pity, or cowardice may come…. “I’m just going to lay here and die, life is just too hard. I’m fighting a losing battle. Things will never change. Everything is against me”

I’ve been resting with God for quite some time – all I want to do is worship Him, love on Him, and be loved by Him. Arrogance and Impatience are constantly knocking on my door telling me to “Go and do something.”  They tell me ” It’s not doing any good to just sit here waiting for my marching orders from God.” But I have to remind them that God says that He has put me in His quiver. There is an army rising up.  He has hidden some of us in His quiver. God has given His warriors every thing necessary to fight God’s battles against the powers of darkness, to conquer Satan. We will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. So be encouraged. God has a glorious plan!
