Holy, Holy, Holy
Is the Lord God Almighty…who was…and is…and is to come
With all creation I sing
Praise to the King of Kings
You are my everything
And I will adore You

I’ve said it before ~ it’s awesome to have praise on your lips! It’s a great exchange; He takes my sorrow, my pain… and gives me His joy!

So do you like my new background? I appreciate your patience while I was being attacked by the design bug! LOL!! I’m not sure how many backgrounds I’ve been through, but I know you had to be laughing when you saw a different background every day- even twice a day! I’m pretty sure this is the one I will keep (at least until the new Fall Backgrounds come out!). I’ve added a new horizontal link bar under my header…it helps with organizing the clutter, and makes it easier to navigate through my blog:) I like to see things changed up a bit. It’s like moving furniture. Moving blog furniture. So with that said, let me spend a little time talking about the promises of Almighty God. Take comfort from these scriptures…

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who has called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 2 Peter 1: 3-4

Ships are built with the intention of sailing the seas and weathering storms. If someone builds a ship and does not build it strong enough to weather the seas, he’s a poor ship builder…right? The same thing applies to believers. When you got born again, you were meant to be tested. God made His promises suitable for times of wind and stormy weather. It all comes down to trusting Him. I remember a friend telling me to pay special attention to the verb in each of His promises. For example: I will never forsake you, Nothing can hinder the Lord, Humans can reproduce only human life but the Holy Spirit gives birth to spiritual life …etc. Get what I’m talking about?

Now we’ve all seen beautiful things that aren’t practical; like shoes that are nice to look at- but impossible to walk in, or how about things that promise they will “make things easier” or “cure what’s ailing you.” God’s Word of promise is meant to be tried and tested. The fact is that His promises are “Yes” and “Amen.” Use them for your comfort.

Go to the depths of God’s promise,
And claim whatsoever you will;
The blessing of God will not fail you,
His Word He will surely fulfill.

How can God say no to something He has promised?
