monstersAre you worn out… tired in body, mind and spirit?  Do you feel beat down, with unanswered prayers that seem to dangle from the ceiling?  Of course you do.  We all feel that way at some time.  Delayed answers to prayers aren’t refusals.  Let me say that again, delayed answers to prayers aren’t refusals.

God hears us the moment we call out to Him, but understand… He has a fixed time and purpose for the answer.  God promised to restore to you all the years the cankerworm has eaten.  He who controls the limits and boundaries of things in our lives, is also in charge of the times of our deliverance.   I think this truth is most difficult to embrace, especially for control freaks.  We all know that waiting on God is not easy. But it’s not impossible either. It often seems that God doesn’t answer us because we think He doesn’t understand the urgency of our situation. Thinking like that implies God isn’t in control or He’s unfair. God’s so worth waiting for.

So get your eyes off those monsters, off the giants… and onto God.  Just know my friend; your troubles are not unforeseen accidents.  No matter what you are going through, no matter how deep your hurt, wait on God.  It will never pay to rely on someone or something else.  When prayers are unanswered, and you don’t know what to do – WAIT!  You most definitely will be tempted to find the answer on your own.  Take it from someone who has created many Ishmaels.  God’s wine always tastes better than Satan’s wine.
