How incredible… part of my prayer this morning was asking God to open up my understanding to the things unseen. He just did!   How? Through my cat, Taz!
God teaches us many spiritual lessons through everyday physical things. It’s our job to expect God to reveal Himself.  We need to keep our eyes and ears open.

Taz has always wanted my undivided attention. He hates anything about my computer, because it takes the focus off him. Ok, I’m sitting here on my computer… Taz jumps up on the chair next to me and starts pawing at me. He just wants to give me love and he wants my love shown back at him. At the opposite end of the table, my husband is laughing because Taz just won’t give up until I give him some attention.  That’s how it should be with us!  No matter what, there should be no giving up!

“So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.” Luke 11: 9-10 (NKJV)

Or how about when Jesus tells the Parable of the Persistent Widow?

A widow of that city came to him repeatedly, appealing for justice against someone who had harmed her.
The judge ignored her for a while, but eventually she wore him out. ‘I fear neither God nor man,’ he said to himself, ‘but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’ ”
Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this evil judge.
Even he rendered a just decision in the end, so don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who plead with him day and night? Will he keep putting them off?
I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when I, the Son of Man, return, how many will I find who have faith?” Luke 18: 3-8 (NLT)

If this judge responded to the widow’s constant pressure, how much more will a great and loving God respond to us? If we know He loves us, we can believe He hears every cry of ours and will answer us in His time. That’s the key… His time.
