“This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it!” Psalm 118:24

Today is the day! The need to trust God is weighing heavily on my mind this morning. Yesterday was my day to counsel at the Crisis Pregnancy Center. My client (a recently saved Christian young mother), and I were watching a video on making the most of every day we are given. ..not letting time pass us by when we are put in undesirable circumstances, however long the season may last.

It was a video about trusting in God’s timing…knowing that He knows what He is doing, and that He is using this time to teach us things. He wants to mature us, and teach us secrets of the Kingdom… He wants us to draw closer to Him, to know Him, to love Him…and be loved by Him.

In my client’s case…it was all about being a single mom, and she was tired dealing with the struggles of being alone. She questioned, “Why can’t I find a good man to love me and my daughter?” This teaching on trust really helped her try to see things as God sees them…as hard as that may be. Now in your case…whatever’s going on or not going on, use this time to get closer to God. When you do, something supernatural happens…. Your will and God’s will line up with each other’s.

After this happens, something else takes place (The only way I can even tell you this…is that it happened to me). When our will and God’s will line up, the most natural thing happens…no questions asked, we want to surrender to God and become “living sacrifices.” In other words…we want to live for Him, and only Him.

“And so dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2
